This innovative faucet can be rotated 360 degrees – left to right, up and down – and conveniently repositions to its original place.
This is perfect for wider and bigger sinks that can accommodate large pots and dishes.
360 Degrees Faucet vs Regular Faucet
The difference between this 360-degree-moving faucet from the regular ones is that it uses silicone material for the pipe, which makes it move flexibly in all directions.
With this outstanding feature, you can easily adjust the water flow on whichever side of the sink you are on.
How Do You Make a Faucet Spout Swivel Easily?
If your spout is difficult to rotate, then this can be due to debris or a damaged O-ring inside the spout.
To fix spout rotations for non-pullout or non-pulldown faucets, follow this short guide:
Step 1: Remove the handle
Turn your water supply off.
Loosen your handle screw by using an Allen wrench.
Step 2: Remove the locking nut and cartridge
Unscrew the trim piece under the handle to expose the locking nut.
Find the flat on both sides of the locking nut and loosen it using a large crescent wrench to free the cartridge.
Step 3: Remove the faucet spout/body
Unscrew the cartridge sleeve and pull out the faucet body to expose the O-rings.
Step 4: Grease your O-rings
Use a silicon lubricant to grease thinly around the top and the bottom O-rings.
Note: Do not use plumber’s grade faucet grease, silicon sprays, or any petroleum-based lubricant.
Step 5: Reassemble
Follow the steps in a reverse manner to reassemble your faucet.
Check if you can now swivel your spout easily.
For pullout or pulldown faucets:
- Remove the spout receptor and clean any debris
- Should corrosion exist on the valve body of the interior of the spout receptor, replace your faucet.
Note: If the mounting nut underneath the sink is too tight to the mounting bracket, this can cause the spout receptor to be stuck and immovable.
FAQs
What is a 360-degree spout swivel?
A 360-degree spout swivel is a faucet that allows you to rotate it entirely, which works best for 1.5 and 2-bowl sink types.
What is a limited swivel faucet?
A limited swivel faucet has a spout that can only swivel at 140 degrees instead of the entire 360 degrees.
Why is my kitchen faucet hard to swivel?
Your kitchen faucet can be hard to swivel due to the dry or sluggish lubrication inside the faucet, including the O-rings that tighten the spout.
This happens naturally over time but you can fix your faucet spout to swivel easily by greasing the O-rings inside the faucet with a silicon-based lubricant.
